A client commissioned a portrait of her son, one that would capture his essence. It would also be something that she can hold on to for many years to come. Working from a selection of her favorite photos of her son, to get a feel for the subject, it became clear that a simple pencil sketch, using soft strokes, would achieve the look she was hoping for.
